Celebrated Constitution Day

SPECIAL ASSEMBLY CONSTITUTION DAY A special assembly was held on 26th November 2016 to celebrate “Constitution Day”. A group of four students named Lavish and Sakshi form 8th std, Dev and Tanu from 8th std, read out an excerpt of the Preamble to our constitution in the morning assembly. Mr Javed Khan delivered a speech and told the students how our Indian constitution was formed and why we felt the need of a constitution. The constitution of a country is a set of written rules that are accepted by all people. He told that the constituent Assembly that wrote Indian constitution had 299 members. The Assembly adopted the constitution on 26th November 1949, it took two years, eleven months and 18 days to complete but it came into effect on January 26,1950. To mark this day, we celebrate 26th as Republic Day every year.
